Nicholas Moore

Nicholas has over 25 years' experience specialising in employment law, with Hill Dickinson in the City of London where he was Head of Employment, then with Osborne Clarke in Bristol as Senior Partner and Head of Employment Pensions and Incentives. He founded Nicholas Moore specialist employment lawyers in 2005.

Nicholas' areas of expertise cover the whole range of employment law. His particular specialisation is in employee relations law and also business reorganisations and transfers of undertakings. He has unrivalled experience in employment and employee relations issues as they affect employers in the merchant shipping industry and is a member of the Marine Personnel Committee of the UK Chamber of Shipping. He was appointed an Employment Judge in June 2001.

Nicholas is recommended as a Leading Individual in his Field within Chambers UK 2010 legal directory for his "winning blend of knowledge and experience" and for providing "practical and business-minded advice."

The firm’s focus is on providing clients with the most effective, simple, commercial solution - no matter how complex the employment issue is. Its reputation is based on the expertise of its members. Its lawyers relish the flexible working environment and make the most of latest technologies so they can work just as effectively away from the office as in it, providing responsive, focused and flexible support to their clients, whilst lightening their carbon footprint.

The firm tries to be a 'more than profit' organisation. Its working culture allows it to dedicate time to voluntary work in its local communities.

It is a founder member of the Legal Sector Alliance (LSA) which seeks to reduce the environmental impact of the legal sector and will seek to play a wider role in public policy and sustainable development.

The firm is dedicated to providing clients with exceptional assistance whenever and wherever needed. Its people understand how important it is that they should be available when clients need us and are committed to providing unrivalled access to timely, focused, high quality advice.

Nicholas lives in Somerset. Outside work he is a trustee of Hestercombe Gardens Trust, enjoys riding, gardening and country sports.
